When you grow up you start looking for gifts not just for the little ones in your life but also for your parents. I love being able to give to those who have given to me all those years. These gifts are also perfect for anyone on your list this holiday season. They are thoughtful, a range of different prices and can be for your older children with their own homes, parents, grandparents, friends, etc.
Oh and once in a while you need gifts at different times of the year, sometimes for birthdays or housewarming gifts. They work for then as well!
Now, I am well aware that this is a list that takes you to amazon 90% of the time, I want to get that out of the way right up front. Smart house-
Echo with Alexa– As I stated we are an Amazon family. We have an Alexa in almost every room in our home and have bought at least one for someone as a gift every year. I love that they come in a range of sizes, colors, and options. You can get them with a screen, like the Show. They are coming out with new option such as Frames which are glasses and ring called the Loop that fit on your hand, which you’ll be able to buy soon. They also have smaller Echo Dot Kids Edition rooms just for music with a cute print.
Ring Video Doorbell – When your not home and your door bell rings it is always nice to be able to answer it. We got one and I could not imagine living without it now. I love that we can see who right outside our door from where ever we are. Perfect.
Roomba 960 Robot Vacuum – Vacuuming is one of those tasks that just sucks lets be honest. If you live in Florida like we do, the majority of houses are tile or wood. This means that dust, crumbs, dirt, sand, etc are constantly accumulating all over your floor. Oh, and are VERY visible. Roombas can save you time and back pain by keeping up with the floors. Also they are fun for cats to ride on.
Now they come in a range of costs and I have two featured here one on the high end Shark IQ R1001AE and one on the very high end iRobot Roomba i7+ (7550) , they do come much cheaper than this. I am just slightly OCD and cannot imagine it not having an empty bin so both have that feature for you. The first one listed does not and is super awesome at a great price point!
Lutron Caseta Smart Start Kit – This is the coolest thing I have found that I cannot wait to get for my folks. My step dad loves to get smart home everything and has spent tons on smart bulbs around their bedroom and his office but Caseta is amazing because they are smart switches that work with your old bulbs. One hub can work up to 75 switches it is very cool. I highly recommend it. And it works with google home, Alexa, and tons of other smart home technologies!
Tile – If you are anything like me and have parenting brain you misplace your keys and phone…often. Tile is a nice way to help you keep track of those things. It helps in multiple ways. Tile can make a loud noise to help you find what you are looking for, shows you on the app where the last place you had it was, or can activate the entire Tile community to help you find your item. It also comes in clip on original, Tile Slim for your wallet or iPad case or Tile Sticker for phone. SO very helpful!!
Games –
Just because your older doesn’t mean you have to grow up!
Cards Against Humanity – If you don’t have this game yet…get it! Period. This game is funny, crass, hilarious, and unlike anything else you will ever play. Warning – it is not for the faint of heart. If you do not like profanity this is not the game for you or your parents. Already have it? Get the expansion packs…Cards Against Humanity: Absurd Box, Cards Against Humanity: Hidden Gems Bundle – Amazon Exclusive.
Elite Hookey Ring Toss – If you are looking for something other than cornhole? This is an awesome alternative that you can hang in your garage or in your backyard. It involves hand eye coordination and lots of fun. I have played this in bars and backyards alike and it is fun every time.
UNSOLVED CASE FILES – My best friend and I are true crime junkies. We love those shows and podcasts. We found these games through my sister actually. You get a faux case file and get to step into the detectives shoes and solve the crime, or attempt to anyway. Now there are more elaborate packs you can buy with monthly subscriptions to Hunt a Killer or buy a once over in this fun game! Check both out and go find your inner detective!
Disney Villainous – Now as many of you know we are a Disney family through and through. How could we every resist this awesome game of villainous intent. This is a strategic board game that the whole family can play. There are also expansion packs, Villainous: Evil Comes Prepared & Villainous: Wicked to The Core so the game goes on! I cannot wait to break into the chaos of it all
Hasboro Twisted games – One game blah, two HELLO! These are awesome. My absolute favorite has to be Taboo Speak Out Game. I cannot even imagine how much fun and how hard one would laugh with that game. The other awesome options? Twister Scrabble Game, Guess Who? Clue, and Monopoly Jenga Game. All fantastic choices!
Tech –
The world of tech can be tricky to navigate. Sometimes the price point is worth it depending on what you are buying. For each of the items on my list this year I am offering a high priced option and one on the more reasonable end. Whichever you pick they are all great products approved by us. Hopefully you will find what you are looking for.
GoPro HERO8 Black Holiday Bundle – Still the best idea for adventure seekers and dads alike. These handy cameras are perfect for documenting the amazing journey that is life. Yes, your phone might be able to capture moments but these are perfect for those times you need to be hands free. Looking for a cheaper but still amazing option… AKASO EK7000 4K WiFi Sports Action Camera
Sonos Move – My husband has been asking for one thing this year and this is it. This splurge of an amazing new Bluetooth speaker. When he works outside all he wants is a speaker that all of our neighbors can hear. I’m kidding of course but he does want crystal clear sound we can all enjoy at BBQ’s and at the pool. Looking for a saving option…JBL Charge 3 is an awesome sound option!
Apple AirPods Pro – From the AirPods Pro Case with Keychain, to the charging stations that are a necessity, to the actual headphones themselves these are the best on the market when you have an apple. Everyone seems to have them and love them. ,
Jabra Elite 65t Earbuds – If you are working out however you might want something a little more sturdy that you can run or lift with. My husband and I both love these. Check them out. They are clear and never bother us when we are working out. But of course if you are looking for a different option that is hooked over your hear but comes with a bigger price tag there is always Powerbeats Pro.
Aura Digital Photo Frame – This is my new favorite thing for grandparents and great grandparents. This is not your digital frame of 10 years ago. This frame is awesome because you can add pictures to it remotely so they are always changing. Multiple people can add photos. If you are looking for a simpler version which you can add photos too with a photo card this is a great option, BSIMB Digital Picture Frame. Both are great options at two different price points, each with pros and cons.
If you are looking for a wonderful gift for a grown up kid or parent this year I really hope this list helped. I now have so many things on my list for my folks I don’t know how I am going to chose! That is the one problem with writing these, I get too many ideas!
